Autumnal Vibes in Beautiful Cornwall ....
Autumn is fast catching up with us & Cornwall is beginning to take on a cloak of russets, reds & golds which are providing a stunning backdrop to the highways & byways winding their way through our pretty county.
After the busyness of Summer Months Cornish beaches become quieter, roads are easily accessed once again & finding a parking space for your vehicle is no longer a challenge! There are still plenty of places to visit & events to see, whilst successfully reserving a table at that oh so popular pub or restaurant is practically child's play from September onwards.
The weather in Cornwall is warm & still positively balmy in September, great for visiting our stunning state gardens or taking a stroll along some of our rugged coastal paths & golden, sandy beaches. Autumn is one of the best times to beat the crowds & book a relaxing stay to relax & wind down - Take a look at the list below to see some of our favourite Autumnal activities:
Trebarwith Strand

Be sure to stop awhile & embrace the atmospheric sounds of softly whispering wind, melodious bird song & distant waterfalls cascading in the background as you make your way past the hermitage, which is thought to have belonged to St Nectan during the sixth century. Finally feasting your eyes on the stunning natural beauty of a sixty foot waterfall tumbling and dancing its way down to the glen below. Two additional waterfalls are passed on your journey to the hermitage.Lanhydrock Estate - National Trust
A meander through the grounds of this Jacobean house during autumn is a great way to pass the time for all the family, with plenty of crunchy leaves to kick through & rich hues & earthy scents to enjoy, the family dog is also very welcome to join you in outside areas throughout the year.
The house was restored & refurbished in 1881 to reflect the Victorian era of the time after being badly damaged by a near catastrophic fire. Visitors looking round the property will be able to get a glimpse into the fascinating contrast between how the servants lived out their lives in the basement against the sheer unadulterated luxury enjoyed by the family on the upper floors.
To satisfy hunger pangs after all the activity there is a choice of eateries, a cafe located just inside the main entrance to the grounds & a tea room situated within the courtyard of the stables, both providing a varied menu of freshly produced food to satisfy all tastes, including a delicious Cornish Cream Ice Cream!
